Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our K-5 students are enthusiastic learners who enjoy being part of a a small and caring school community in Brooklyn. Our curious students at the NYC Title I school thrive with engaging and hands-on lessons that allow them to discover new ways to learn and create memorable experiences.
My Project
All of the Lakeshore math manipulatives will be offered to students during math center times, when students deepen and expand on their learning by trying out mathematical concepts with these hands on tools.
Our Kindergarten students will build and explore 2nd and 3rd dimensional shapes, engage in small group learning with pattern and counting trays and enjoy the Montessori tactile number learning approach with sand tiles.
An engaging math center with high quality and educational manipulatives helps all students develop a joy to practice math skills and develop math mastery!
