My students are both eager and energetic first graders who love to learn. We are a Title 1 school and despite the many economical and social hurdles my students have to navigate, this does not deter them or their families from engaging in their education.
Our Math curriculum uses counters and Wooden Rekenreks as manipulatives to help our students navigate and master basic numbers and operational skills that will set the foundation for their future success.
Access to these tactile and visual tools are greatly need for our young learners to provide individual opportunity to practice, develop and secure these basic, yet fundamental Math skill sets.
The headphones also allow them to work independently and quietly on Math and other educational games and/or sites that will engage and continue to develop these skills.
