Math Masters Need More Interaction! Help Us Play More Games!

My Students

This year our school is striving to find the SUPER Powers in all students. Every child has strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure or motivation for them to realize it!! The students in my class strive for excellence every day! We are celebrating our differences and thriving in our uniqueness!

We are focusing on working as a team and collaborating to build each other up!

We thrive as learners when we work together! All for one! And one for all!

My Project

I am currently taking courses to get my Math Endorsement, and the emphasis has really been on interaction! Kids learn and remember more when they get to really experience the math at work. I am requesting some dice of different sizes and types to enrich my math with unique, core centered games! They will use the dice to play games to build their foundation in making tens, and knowing their doubles facts. They will use the cards to practicing adding and comparing numbers. The power pens will help them transition their addition facts into memory. The focus really is on place value and number sense. And with these items I am looking to build my children's foundation in place value and give them some amazing opportunities to test their knowledge with hands on opportunities! These ten frames are exactly what I need to bridge the gap for students struggling with regrouping! It will change everything for these kids! The headphones are going to supplement the online piece to support their math building skills. We use a program called I-ready and it individualizes the child's practice and learning. These headphones will help give the students the tools they need to succeed!
