it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I love my third students because they are hardworking and determined to learn and develop new ideas. They are aware that learning about the world is important and they can change reality. They are optimistic and love to see the world not as the way it is, but as the way it should be.
My Project
The students in our classroom use their whiteboards to work on math lessons and activities daily. This helps me see if the students are understanding the concept quickly. I can also view their answers from a distance. However, many of the students in our classroom have lost the whiteboard markers given to them at the beginning of the school year or they have dried up. When I ask the students to grab out their markers, many of them spend minutes trying to find something. This takes away time from our learning because we are trying to make sure students can find the material necessary to participate in math activities. I can’t ask the students to bring markers from home because many come from low socioeconomic homes and it would be trouble for their families. If this project is funded the students would not worry about having dried markers and would spend less time looking for materials, they would spend more time working on the math activities that help them become mathematicians.
