My Project
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted learning for my students, leading to increased challenges in engagement and comprehension. Transitioning to remote and hybrid learning models has widened the gap in academic achievement and exacerbated feelings of isolation and disconnection among students.
Resources like math manipulatives, tiles and blocks for our math classroom are crucial in bridging these gaps and supporting students' social-emotional and academic development amidst the ongoing pandemic.
By providing bouncy bands, math games, and engaging decorations, we aim to create a vibrant and supportive learning environment that fosters collaboration, curiosity, and a sense of belonging. Resources like headphones, a mobile computer cart, snacks, and dry erase boards will not only enhance students' mathematical skills but also promote social interaction, teamwork, and emotional well-being, ultimately helping them navigate the challenges of learning during these unprecedented times.
