Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Next year I will be teaching a 3/4 split class. in the class we have some students with IEP's and could highly benefit from having hands on experience. Third and forth grade math can be very abstract and challenging for some students to learn. Using manipulatives to learn multiplication, division and fractions can help them grasp concepts in a concrete and practical way. Having manipulates available for students that might have some learning disabilities will help them have better understanding of daily concepts. Will aid them the practice and put into practice every day the concepts that the have learned, are learning and will learn in the near future! Hands on learning also promotes classroom cooperation and cooperative learning!
