My class is full of life! My students yearn to learn. They love hands on projects, having fun, and work hard to get where they are in school. These students come from a low poverty neighborhood and deserve the chance to succeed in school.
These 3rd graders are resilient, courageous, and they love to be independent in a secure safe environment.
My 3rd graders love the chance to teach each other and myself whenever they can. They are the reason I wake up in the morning. They deserve the very best I can give them.
My Project
My students love to learn and explore using their hands. These manipulatives will help me differentiate my instruction. This year and years to come, these manipulatives will help me teach with the hands on method.
This year we are focusing mainly on 3 digit addition and subtraction using regrouping.
The base ten blocks help us accomplish this skill, by showing students that regrouping is bundling 10's together to make another group. We are also focusing on multiplication and division this year. The chips will help my students be able to show how to multiply and divide by sorting chips into equal sized groups and array models.
There are many more uses for these tools in my classroom and I can not wait to start using them with my students!
