My Students
I believe in providing my students with a very organized and structured environment. I want them to have the best available options to be successful. When they come to school, I want them to feel safe and secure in an environment that is conducive to learning. Some of my students plan on coming to school daily for that safe and caring feeling that they know everything will be all right. They know that school is a place of learning in a safe environment.
My Project
Because math is needed everyday to apply to real life situations, we need to have a strong focus in math. We are requesting materials that will help us to do just that! We are asking for fraction, geometry, area and perimeter manipulatives. We are also asking for math performance tasks in which my students must apply their skills to everyday math situations. Math performance tasks are seen on state testing which is why it so important that my student familiarize themselves with them. All of these manipulatives and materials will help my students to become successful in their everyday learning!
