This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My fourth-grade students are very loving, caring, and curious. They love being engaged in the classroom and truly appreciate all things donated to the classroom. In addition, these curious fourth graders love learning! My students come from a very low socioeconomic background and do not have the access to technology.
Our school is 100% free breakfast and lunch.
We have the highest rate of ELL (English language learners) in the state and a high number of special education students.
My Project
The students will need these materials to help improve math fluency and understanding. The oversize timer will be a good visual for the students when working on their timed multiplication facts. The fraction kids will be great to help move through the CPA math process. Fractions can be difficult so this kit will help create a great visual for the students. The multiplication and division math game will help improve math fluency in a fun and interesting way. This can be used during indoor recess or during a math center. These math manipulatives will help the students become successful and confident.
