Math Manipulatives to Help Math Stick

Help me give my students a chance to practice new math concepts with manipulatives. Fractions and time are hard concepts for third graders to solidify and having hands-on resources for them to use is a necessity.

My Students

I have a great group of students in Utah who are always working hard to achieve amazing things! They are always eager to ask questions and learn what they can.

A lot of what we learn this year is hard for some of them to grasp without the needed hands-on resources to really solidify certain concepts.

With these added resources, I know that my kiddos will soar to great success and have an amazing third grade experience that they will never forget!

My Project

Fraction tiles and student clocks will help make a huge difference in how my students are able to learn. Fractions and time are two very difficult concepts for third graders to grasp when they have to visualize what is happening as we learn different aspects of each concept.

Having these manipulatives will help make fractions and time more concrete for these kiddos.

They will be able to use the fraction tiles to compare two different fractions and see for themselves which one is bigger or figure out two equivalent fractions. My students will be able to use the student clocks to move the hour and minute hands around to work on elapsed time.
