This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need your help! I have various learning levels all the way from Kindergarten through 3rd grade and my classroom lacks math manipulatives that can help all these different learners. I am a first year teacher working in a Title One, inner city school and we rely heavily on donations.
I plan to use these manipulatives for direct instruction and in small groups, which I know will help my students learn on a more visual and concrete level.
Many struggle in math because they are lacking fluency in numbers and having visual, tangible items will help keep them engaged and increase their learning.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
