it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am currently in my first year as a Math interventionist. I have been in the classroom for 25 years. Many of the things in my project will be used for small group instruction. I see students in groups of 6 or less so we have lots of opportunity to use hands on manipulatives. The younger students will benefit from a variety of options to learn Math.
I have mostly taught in the upper grades and am needing more materials to support my K-3 kiddos.
Most of these items will help my struggling students have opportunities to improve their math skills.
Kids learn math so much easier if they have manipulatives in their hands that can make the math make sense! I want to give my students an opportunity to have concrete materials to work with to make Math make sense.
