Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It's never too soon to plan for the coming school year! These math manipulatives will be used to support math small group work for students in kindergarten through third grade. Students will practice counting and engaging in math routines to build numeracy skills.
Mathematicians will engage in activities using these materials that will build confidence and promote a love of math.
These experiences will help establish a strong foundation for students to build upon as they move into the upper elementary grades.
Students will engage in an approach to math instruction to encourages flexibility and provides multiple points of entry. Students will have options to select manipulatives to model their thinking. These resources will allow all learners to collaborate and develop a strong number sense as we launch math workshop in the fall.
