My Project
I teach Math RTI in middle school. Many of my students are on the cusp have already decided they are not "math people". Through daily convincing, they are starting to make some connections between building up their foundational skills and seeing success in math class. This project will help to give my students some of the resources needed to access the content.
This project will help to give my students ways to make math move and more!
Magnetic tiles will help my students to see the connection between area, surface area, and volume. Algebra tiles will help my students to see concepts like combining like terms and distributive property works. The portable monitors will help my math students easily access their online notes and their assignments. Magnetic buttons will make it easy to model with manipulatives. Button blanks will be used as rewards for students. My students love putting buttons on their school issued lanyards. Offering creative freedom is an easy and inexpensive way of incentivizing my students.
