My Students

My students are uniquely wonderful; bright, funny, curious, talkative, shy, athletic, brave, optimistic, and charming! They have a zest for life and learning. Unfortunately, they have missed almost two years of face-to-face instruction and team sports due to Hurricane Michael, followed by the pandemic.

With your help, I would love to provide them with hands on math manipulatives.

My Project

The math manipulatives will provide my students with hands-on concrete examples as we learn about fractions and decimals. Fractions, especially, are a hard concept for them to master. The concrete examples will help them to see and understand fractions and decimals. These children are behind, due to two years of Covid and instructional time lost because of Hurricane Michael.

Our goal this year is close the gaps they have due to circumstances beyond their control.

As we do this, I would also like to provide them with incentive items, such as scented pencils and rainbow scratch paper, to reward their hard work.
