My Students
Calculators and timers are exciting math tools to young learners. We are in need of math materials that students can use daily to test their math knowledge and solve problems.
I teach first graders in Indiana who are excited to learn more about math.
They enjoy problem solving, working together, racing against friends to solve problems, and completing math stations. Their enthusiasm for math continues to grow daily as they learn new skills through technology, exploring manipulatives, and math-related literature.
My Project
My students need math materials, such as 10 calculators, 6 student timers, and a calendar math center, to build essential math skills. This project will provide math materials that my students can use daily to foster their love of mathematics. Students will be engaged in lessons and stations that involve calculator riddles, problem-solving cards, guess my number challenges, and calendar activities.
Adding these materials to our math time will be just what these energetic first graders need to further build essential math skills.
Building upon their love of mathematics through everyday experiences will help them grow as thinkers and problems solvers. Thank you for your support!
