My Students
We are an urban, high needs, elementary school. We have a large free-lunch population and have a large percentage of learners with special needs.
We are an ICT class with a mix of general education and special education students.
We service all of our students with the same energy and intensity, but some students require additional supports and that is what we aim to provide. We scaffold every lesson so there is an entry point for each child, and try to provide the types of physical and emotional supports so our special students can succeed.
My Project
Please help us get an ETA hand2mind Daily Math Fluency Kit (Grade 5) which will help us master our math facts through fun and interactive activities. Many students can understand concepts but struggle with basic math computation mastery. This program will allow us to support those students so they can continue moving forward with grade level concepts. This is a program that will be able to be used by our amazing co-teacher and any student teachers we have, allowing for small group work and further differentiating our math instruction. Math is fun and we need the tools to make it more fun for all!
