My Students
Students learn best when they are actively engaged in their learning.
I am the lucky teacher of 20 kids in the morning and 20more kids in the afternoon.
That is 40 little minds that will be our future leaders. They are eager to learn new things in a variety of ways each and everyday and I am just as eager to teach them new concepts daily.
My Project
In common core it is important for the students to master the concepts for their grade level. They also need to be able to explain how they know what they know. The activities in this project such as the Grab & Play Partner Math Games,Count and Compare Number Games and the Addition Practice Center will provide them with hands-on experiences. Many times when children are working together on games and activities such as these, it will bring up a lot of questions and discussions. This is exactly what needs to be going on in a common core environment. When kids are helping each other, teaching each other, and questioning each other, valuable learning is taking place.
These math activities will foster a fun and creative common core math environment in my classroom on a daily basis.
You will be providing my students with a wide variety of common core games and making a difference in the learning of many children.
