My students need 200 sets of dice, 200 decks of playing cards, and transparent counting chips to make take home games for our family math night.

My Students

Math Mania! Please help us make this night a success by providing the materials we need to make take-home games for our students and their families.

We are a rural, Title-1, school district.

The students are energetic and eager to learn. Our school has been faced with drastic budget cuts this year, therefore we do not have the funds to sponsor every parent involvement activity that is planned for the year.

My Project

The dice, playing cards, and counters will provide the opportunity for students to play educational games with their families at home. All families will receive a take-home packet filled with game ideas using the dice and playing cards. These resources can be used to teach number concepts such as numeral recognition, counting, place value, probability and statistics, number sense, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts.

The impact on students and families will be long lasting because parental involvement is a such an important aspect of a child's education.

By getting the parents and grandparents involved, we hope to foster a love of learning and increase student achievement. Your generous donation of these materials will ensure that children and their families will have the opportunity to practice valuable math skills while playing fun games at home.
