This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Math is stupid! I'm never going to need it anyway! I hate math!"
How many times have you heard a child say this? The truth is, math is great! But it can be difficult, so many students just give up.
My students are no different.
I teach in a low income school where the vast majority of students come from two neighboring projects. My students come from very little, and we work together to make sure they learn all they can to make up this deficit, but it can be tough at times.
My Project
I have requested real world math games, activity cards, and learning centers to improve my students' math skills.
With these new resources, I can have that extra help to show my students that math can be lots of fun. I can also show them that the problems solving skills they will learn in math will help them throughout their lives, not just inside the classroom.
With your donation, I can make math exciting again!
I look forward to teaching math everyday, and with your help, my students can look forward to math also! Help me get young children excited about math skills!
