My Students
My students are very warm and supportive. During remote learning many students worked to explain tasks to their peers. My students enjoyed sharing knowledge they have gained. The pandemic has proven students are able to get together and work towards academic goals by helping each other. As a teacher it was amazing to experience this kind of embrace from student to student.
My Project
The whiteboards will be utilized daily with students , particularly in math. Math has seven math practices, One in particular students struggle with is modeling with mathematics. These tools will make it possible for students during both remote and classroom instruction. The math tools will allow me to model exactly what need to see. As well as provide tools to work through complex problems. The math picture books will allow visual learners to help bring math to life, making problems easier to practice and build students confidence in math. By having Math Tools, students will be able to build their understanding, problem solve more effectively. The whiteboard creates a platform to demonstrate how math tools can be used to enjoy math and help motivate math thinking not easily grasped without deep understanding.
