Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my students are ready to get more involved in the classroom and working on group projects, that they previously missed out on. Incorporating some of their math skills into real-world projects motivates them to get more involved and builds their curiosity.

Who doesn't like building their own bottle rocket and launching during school hours?

This activity will not only be fun for them, but it will give them a hands-on experience to connecting some of the math skills they have learned to science and even some engineering. They will also be able to personally design their rocket and compete with their classmates on the various areas such: most creative, most durable, furthest distance.

The paint, brushes and canvas boards for painting will not only be entertaining and relaxing, it will also bring out their creative sides. The students will encourage to incorporate some of the geometric shapes and 3-dimensional figures we learned about and create some amazing art.
