My Students
Each first grade student needs the opportunity to practice math skills for mastery. After the whole group lesson each day, my students need learning games for independent practice.
My students are in transition.
As a teacher in Joplin, MO my students do not have as many learning games as they used to have at home. Also many of my students' parents are very busy and stressed and they do not have time to practice math with their children. This causes many students to lack fluency and mastery of mathematical skills.
My Project
My student need new math learning games for them to use to practice skills. These new learning games will increase the mastery level my students have of basic skills. This practice will help students be ready to move on to second grade skills. These will be used daily by pairs of students.
These students are still affected by losing most of their belonging to the tornado in May 2011.
These students need resources to help them overcome the disadvantage they have had from the beginning of their school career. Please help me provide learning games for my students.
