This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to obtain resources, including math games, manipulatives, headphones, and calculators, that will be used to aid in the intervention and remediation of mathematical skills in my middle school students who are showing deficiencies. Due to COVID-19, many of my students were either forced or opted to do remote learning. As a result, many students acquired significant mathematical skills gaps, significantly interfering with their ability to understand and apply grade-level concepts. This, in turn, causes them to have a fixed mindset regarding their ability to obtain some level of success in math and their ability to become better at it.
