This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a special education teacher, who had the pleasure of spending time with my future 5th graders last year, and I am super excited to have them this fall. They are excited about becoming 5th graders and can't wait to make the final year of elementary school their best year by far!
Throughout my teaching journey, math has taught me that students grasp math concepts better and faster when they use graph composition notebooks.
Seeing how students begin to utilize math in their daily lives because of their use of graphing composition notebooks is incredible. In addition, having a successful 5th-grade math year will allow my students to be set up for a successful 6th-grade and middle-school experience in math.
