My Project
My students in 5th grade are coming to me with major gaps in their conceptual understanding of what math looks like! I would love the opportunity to be able to give them more hands on ways to practice what fractions and decimals actually look like.
My students would truly benefit from hands on manipulatives that focus on what fractions and decimals look like and how we can start to visualize how to complete operations with them.
My students work hard to master their math skills but I am really hoping that giving them more kid friendly versions of what math looks like will deepen their conceptual understanding of math and they will be able to apply their skills on their tests.
