My Project
I am a middle school math specialist who serves student in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. Often times, students in my class struggle to connect to math and don't especially love it. Students (especially middle schoolers) want to be entertained and have fun at school. What better way than to play together? Games are an integral part of the learning process and these games can be used with multiple levels for years to come.
Not only will students have an opportunity to engage with mathematical concepts through playing games, they will also have a chance to socialize and enjoy being in class with one another.
The games that I have selected vary in difficulty. Depending on the intervention being delivered, these games may be used not only to build student's math skills, but also their overall confidence. Let's trick them into LOVING math!
