Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students spend only a few days working with number lines and clocks, but being able to manipulate them and work to understand them will be invaluable for my first graders. We often have language barriers and Math is taught only in English. Even students with a good understanding of concepts can struggle with the language bit, so having a manipulative like this will help students to make connections to their content. We also need the cushions because in a previous Donor's choose, I accidently ordered the covers. We need to be able to put them in our calm down corner so students can settle and regulate their emotions. The Clorox Wipes are just great for keeping germs at bay and we run out of them frequently.
