This project is for a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to purchase digital math activities that allow students to dig through new concepts in engaging and thought provoking ways. State standards have changed recently, and I'm struggling to find activities that are aligned to state standards and focus on real-world application.
My students are noticeably more engaged and complete more assignments when the assignments are real-world examples and fun to do!
Activities on Teachers Pay Teachers are vetted activities created and used in mathematics classes that are aligned to specific state standards. My students love solving puzzles or completing breakout rooms instead of regular worksheets. Finding state standard aligned activities that are fun to complete and allow students to apply their mathematical knowledge helps them be more successful in the future.
