This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year my students are learning from home and are in need of math materials to help keep them engaged and motivated in their lessons.

Providing each student with a flying disc and a set of fraction tiles will help them learn about measurement and fractions.

In addition to meeting our grade-level math standards, having a disc to throw around will get students running and playing outside! Students will have fun as they throw their discs for long distances. The fraction tiles will help reinforce the concepts of equivalent fractions as well as adding and subtracting fractions.
