This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When you ask students what is your least favorite subject in school, most answers will be Math. This is because students see math as too hard or boring. They are given multiple worksheets and textbooks to complete their math assignments. When given this, students are reluctant to learn math. For my classroom, I want to make math fun and enjoyable. In order to achieve this, my students will participate in project based learning this year. Throughout each unit, students will be working together to discover how to calculate problems. This is where we need your help. In order to do this, we need supplies to help our classroom run smoothly. These math supplies and manipulative will help my students become independent math learners. They will be able to use the responses in the room to help guide them to the correct answer instead of waiting for me to tell them. These materials will be a great help for our classroom.
