Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard working and work better with hands on projects. They are eager to learn when connected to real world scenarios. Some of my students work past their assigned work and complete tasks before I finish assigning it. They love it when I connect math to money and other real world connections.
My Project
The curriculum I am currently using is a little outdated. I have been using some notes and reasources I found on teachers pay teachers to make it more updated by using my own money. I would like to revamp my curriculum more by changing the notetaking process and not just the activities.
I find that students learn better when they investigate the topic themselves.
This also helps me because I am available to walk around the classroom and help the students that struggle. Understanding and learning are two different things and I want to make sure students understand what they are learning and not just write down what I say.
