My Project
Students often wonder, "When will I ever use this math in my life?" I would love to create a classroom transformation and make a construction zone to engage students in hands-on learning. We will be practicing measuring windows, doors, lockers, bulletin boards, rugs, desks, then calculating the area and perimeter of these shapes.
Please consider donating to this project to help me give my students different tools to measure, while creating a construction zone themed classroom for the day, to practice hands on learning of area and perimeter skills.
I am asking for donations of measuring sticks and tape measures to help students measure life sized objects around our classroom. Then they will act as construction workers with play hard hats to measure and calculate the area and perimeter of things like the windows, rugs, doors, lockers, desks, white boards, etc.
