My Project
"What are we learning today?" These are the words that a student exclaimed as they all enter the classroom at the beginning of the day. This project will provide students with geometric shapes to help them understand the academic vocabulary needed to be successful. The learning games provide them with a fun and engaging way to practice their math skills. The manipulatives are so important to move students from a concrete example to learning to apply the same skills abstractly and in problem solving situation.
My students have investigative young minds, these materials will help them with their academic achievement.
Many of them come from bilingual households and receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our Title I school serves students in grades kindergarten through fifth, and we provide rigorous academics, amazing teachers, and a safe and caring learning environment. 83% of our students qualify for free lunch, and our students are eager to learn. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in middle school, high school, college, and the world. We strive to create strong, kind, and caring citizens.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
