This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We strive to show our students that the only limits are the ones you put in front of yourself. Our school is found in East Los Angeles in a low-income neighborhood. Our school is 98% Hispanic/Latino, and 94% socioeconomically disadvantaged. What makes my students so special is that they wake up every day and come to school ready to learn, despite what the world and media is telling them about themselves, and despite the hardships of where they come from. Our school always wants to provide the best for our students but being in the low-income area that we are, funds are always limited. It is the generous and kind-hearted people in this world who keep my students and I motivated to learn, share, and be college bound!

My Project

This coming year my school was not able to purchase a curriculum for Pre Calculus. I want my students to have fun and interactive experiences with some fun projects that TecherspayTeachers have created. These projects will engage my students to learn how math is applied in the real world and can appreciate the importance of numbers.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase students math skills and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement and make math a fun subject.
