My Project
My students have significant cognitive disabilities and benefit from hands on manipulatives to support their learning. Their education has been significantly impacted due to the pandemic. Despite compensatory services they have fallen several grade levels below. These math manipulatives will deepen their conceptual understanding of fractions, which is a foundational component in math. They also use markers often to help them calm down when they are dysregulated or allow them to draw their thinking in math. It is amazing how many markers we go through in a school year! These items will greatly benefit our severe needs program!
