This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I would like to focus more on math centers, so that I can individualize certain math concepts for different ranges of learners. I am requesting headphones for students to access math games on the computer, number lines so that students can count on to solve addition and subtraction facts, 1-20 puzzle cards to help students build number sense, and a 3-D shape kit so students can understand and build models of 3-D shapes. Having activities that are hands on really helps first graders to visualize and understand math concepts.
