My students need a new supply of pencils, dry erase markers, erasers and cards to get us through the rest of this school year and into next school year.

My Students
What is a number? Students, especially younger ones, truly need to know what numbers mean in order to grow with them.
My students come from rural South Carolina and many do not have pre-school experience when they arrive to us.
Because of this gap in preparation, many students have no number sense when they come to us in kindergarten and may or may not have it when they move to first grade. Without this concrete base, the students will continue to struggle with math concepts throughout their education.
My Project
The items that I have requested are consumable items. I purchased much of this with my own funds at the beginning of the year. I have come across the problem of not having enough due to all of the movement we have had with students this year. With working on math, erasing happens all of the time - I go through erasers like candy! We also use our dry erase boards for many games that we play to work on our skills. My markers are 3 years old and on their last leg. It is costly to replace this by myself. My kids also love to play games with playing cards. They love when I tell them that today is Card Fact War day! All of the items I am asking for will be used on an almost daily basis with all 600 of my students.
