My Students
My students are mixed ability and amazing. They come from varying backgrounds but come together as a lively bunch of curious learners.
I have students who have limited resources at home and little access to engaging, educational activities outside of school.
I have students who have had to evacuate their countries due to conflict and are learning English for the first time. I have students with autism, learning disabilities, and attention deficit disorder.
They are my Blue Suede Paws and are our fantastic future.
My Project
My students love Math. They work hard to understand the concepts and make models to show their thinking. VersaTiles will give my students an alternative to traditional skills practice which will help to increase their mathematical confidence. With this tool, my students can answer questions independently and self-correct their work. This gives them control of their own learning.
This kit will give them much needed practice with operations and algebraic thinking: expressions and patterns, number and operations: whole numbers and decimals, fractions: add and subtract, measurement and data: convert and interpret, geometric measurement: volume, and geometry: graphing and 2-D figures.
