My Students

My students are outstanding! They are ambitious, creative, fun, and energetic. The love math, reading, and science. My students are very motivated and are great self-starters. I try to give them lots of independence and opportunity to explore and grow.

What I love best about my students is their desire to keep learning.

We emphasize a growth mindset in my class and my students have latched on to that and work really hard every day on taking on new challenges.

I am impressed every day with how hard they try and how much they push themselves to succeed. Just last week we were doing a math assessment and one girl in particular was really struggling with it but she wouldn't give up. I was so impressed with her drive, her desire to finish it, and her determination to do her best. This is typical of so many students in my class.

My Project

I am a first year teacher, stepping into a classroom after the teacher that started the year passed away from pancreatic cancer. This is a great opportunity for me to set up some great activities for my class to learn from and enjoy for years to come.

You can help my students grow and enjoy math through this project.

Great classrooms are not made by a single teacher, but through input and support from others.

I love giving my students free time to direct their own learning and games like Sum Swamp, Monster Sock Factory, and Ocean Raiders will really help guide them in some great growth oriented projects. I selected games for all level of ability in my classroom in hopes that all of my students will be able to grown and learn through these games and activities.
