This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our intervention classroom, students have the opportunity to revisit concepts and try out a variety of strategies. We promote choice as they engage in problem-solving tasks. Math centers are an essential part of our classroom routine. Students engage in games and activities independently and in partnership to help build collaboration skills understanding of concepts, and promote participation.
The games and resources included in this project will be immediately used with mathematicians in grades 2 through 5 as they develop fundamental math skills and number sense.
These materials (animal counters, write and wipe boards, and games) are highly engaging and blend learning with play, which maximizes learning opportunities.
