The students in my class are excited and eager to learn. My students are joyful, energetic, creative, and always so much fun to be around! They come from a variety of backgrounds and have a wide range of educational experiences. Most of my students come from low-income homes where they have had limited exposure to reading. Some students have experienced some form of previous education while others do not know how to hold a book.
All of my students are capable of growing and learning inside the classroom.
My students have so much to learn, whether they need to learn how to tie their shoes, letter sounds, adding or writing. They have the potential to do amazing things, and I loving being able to help them grow!
My Project
My students spend all school year practicing many different math skills. Some of these skills include adding, subtracting, decomposing and shape identification. These are all skills they will use for the rest of their lives. It is important that they master these skills in order to have a successful educational pathway. Learning these skills can come as a challenge to some students, so providing them with opportunities and resources to see these topics in a new light will allow them to show interest and mastery.
These materials will provide my students with hands-on, interactive, and exciting ways to practice their math skills!
The Addition Cards, Addition and Subtraction Flip Solve Board, Equation and Addition Match Up will provide my students with multiple opportunities to master the concepts of addition and subtraction in a way the makes sense to them. Sea 10, Making 10 Instant Learning Center, Clumsy Thief game and 10 on the Spot 10s Frame game will provide my students with moments that they need for the concept to stick. These materials will allow my students to understand how to make 10 in multiple ways, allowing them to truly have a grasp of the concept. Lastly, the Shape Match Up game allows my students to sort and match real life objects, allowing them to view shapes as something practical and important. By providing my students with these resources, you will be giving them materials to help them practice skills in a way that makes them stick!
