This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I see three classes of 30+ 6th graders every day for math. These incredible kids have persevered through so much these past several years. In a society with so many distractions and a group of students facing so much outside of my walls, it is important that my classroom feels engaging and fun, and that students know it is a safe place to make mistakes and learn.

Adding these games and resources to my daily math rotations will most certainly increase engagement, and help students practice socialization and sportsmanship while increasing basic math skills that are the foundation to their success in math as they move up.
