My Students
I work in West Philadelphia where the families have very limited resources to help support their children's literacy needs. After a year of not being in the building, my kids are so excited to jump back into learning but need some basic resources.
These kids need the essentials.
These students need everything from folders to pencils. Setting up a classroom in April is weird, but we can’t wait to get the ball rolling!
The students I teach are excited to learn and happy to be a part of our school community. However, materials and supplies are almost non-existent and need to be purchased by the teachers. Students here love to read and need all the support they can get.
My Project
Our kids need to be hands-on when they are learning. It is important that they are using their eyes and interacting with their learning while they are in the classroom. With these new puzzles and math games, our kids will get a chance to use their hands and brains at the same time to work on their learning development.
I am so excited to be back in the classroom and getting the chance to help our scholars learn both physically and virtually, but we need some supports to make this work.
We can't thank you enough for all your help in giving to our room to make our year everything it has been through this pandemic. We are almost done and thank you so much!
