it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My transitional kindergarten students are excited to dive into the world of numbers! Every day, they are excited to count, add, and practice writing numbers. They’re eager to develop their math skills, but we need your support to provide them with the hands-on learning materials that will help them grow even more.
These math tools and manipulatives will allow my students to engage with math in a way that is both meaningful and fun.
Research shows that young children learn best through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences. With these materials, they will be able to explore number concepts through tangible objects, building their understanding while playing and experimenting. We will use these math tools daily during table time and student choice time, where students can work independently, with a teacher, or with their peers. These interactions will also support language development as students explain their reasoning and share what they are learning.
With your help, we can continue to fuel their excitement and build a solid foundation for their future math success. These materials will give them the hands-on experiences they need to develop confidence, problem-solving skills, and a love for math that will stay with them throughout their educational journey.
