Help me give my students the education they deserve by using the computer programs as a tool to make sense of the mathematics and an iPAD to tape lessons, document, take pictures, and upload their work to display!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a high school Mathematics teacher in a title 1 school and the students I work with every day at my school are inspirational. Many come from difficult backgrounds and yet show up to school searching for encouragement, academic challenge, and care. It is through them that I learn about true strength, intelligence and perseverance.
Majority of the students enter the classroom as either Level 1 or Level 2 learners.
Because of this, many of them also fear that they are not "smart enough" to understand math. However, being a level 1 and level 2 learner is not a deficiency but merely an initial foundation the students enter with. Due to their perseverance and inquiry the students consistently challenge themselves. There are many avenues the students take to making sense of problems. They love to use manipulatives, card sorts, discovery activities and any other tools at hand to try out their own ways of approaching and solving a problem without being told what to do.
The supplies I can receive will help my students have more freedom with focusing on the math at hand and not the supplies or tools needed to aide in their discovery.
Thank you
My Project
I am constantly trying to level up as a teacher so that I can give my students the best education they all deserve. I am trying to break out of the traditional mold of chalk and talk lessons and instead have rich activities, tasks and tools for my students to be excited and discover the mathematics.
With the use of an iPAD I will be able to document my students' work by taking pictures of their notes and uploading it to Google Classroom.
I can also use the pictures to display their work for the class on the SMARTboard to offer students immediate feedback and promote classroom discussion. I will also be able to use video request forms and the IPAD to video tape lessons, watch student path of inquiry and my questioning so that I can reflect on the lessons and better understand what I need to teach the next day and how I can improve as a teacher.
