My Students
My students from Hawaii are eager learners. They are creative, thoughtful, caring, and passionate about learning. They love to find solutions to problems and focus on hands-on activities. They come to class ready to learn and always have an abundance of questions.
Nearly the entire school population receives free or reduced lunch, English language learner, and/or their families do not have the money to purchase supplies due to the ongoing pandemic.
Please help my students achieve their educational goals. They love various methods of learning, whether it be by computer, in group work, or in small discussions. Their ongoing curiosity is an inspiration to me every day!
My Project
As a district, one of our primary goals is to improve students' fact fluency in mathematics. These resources are a fun way to practice the basic skills of multiplication and division as well as providing the opportunity to use basic calculators to solve more complex equations.
These resources will help students learn their math facts by providing a flash card set at each table so they can quiz each other frequently.
This project, paired with Reflex, will help students understand that no matter how a multiplication problem is written the answer will remain the same. They will also learn that quotients have different answers when written differently.
More than half of students from low‑income households
