This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Math manipulatives are concrete objects that help students develop a deeper understanding of math concepts and number sense. They are used to teach a variety of math skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division which is the foundation of elementary math.

The effective use of math manipulatives can help my students connect ideas and integrate their knowledge so that they gain a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts." “When students manipulate objects, they are taking the first steps toward understanding math processes and procedures." I have witnessed how my students take on challenging mathematical concepts with the use of manipulatives.
