This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These basic essential supplies and manipulatives will make learning more hands on and memorable for my students. When we make learning hands on for the kids, it helps them engage and more easily understand the concepts being taught.
The supplies in my project can be used in whole class instruction or during smaller teacher guided group time to differentiate instruction and reach each student.
The dry erase counting boards and markers will be used to help them practice counting and skip counting to 120! The students will benefit from using the giant ten frame floor mat! This mat will help them understand basic number concepts, visualize addition and subtraction problems and develop their mental Math strategies. The magnetic counters will be used to help them count, add, subtract, find the missing addends, and many other Math skills needed to reach their goals for First Grade!
