Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The opportunity to teach math and coding is pivotal in today's world. Students will be engaged in exciting and valuable lessons that will prepare them for the 21st century. I will help my students discover their interests and passions while equipping them with the skills they will need to be the world's future computer scientists and engineers.
Students will need calculators, pencils, and binders to record their findings throughout the lessons.
In one of the lessons, students will be asked to calculate the Pythagorean Theorem using our class robot. They will use the class robot's location sensor, build blocks to gather data, and verify the length of the legs and hypotenuse in a right triangle.
I'm excited to work with these students. Their curiosity to learn new things and use them in real-world situations. These activities build their confidence to become future mathematicians, computer scientists, and engineers.
